How to Automate PPC Campaigns for 350,000 Products?

Umenie sveta is an online shop with a showroom in Bratislava. It is engaged in the sale of paintings, posters, painting frames, mirrors, and signboards, offering all these products with tailored modifications. In total, it offers over 350,000 products.

What problem BW has helped to solve

In the e-shop offer, we can find paintings from almost 18,000 artists. Our goal was to create a separate ad group for each offered artist. With the help of Blue Winston, we have created over 17,500 ad groups with a total keyword count of over 180,000.

Of course, this high number of items cannot be created or managed manually via Ads campaigns. For this reason, we have reached for Blue Winston, which has enabled us to achieve our goal simply, quickly, efficiently and made automate PPC Campaigns.

We created a feed in the structure:

  • author,
  • author_id,
  • url,
  • price_min,
  • first_name,
  • last_name,
  • category.

Subsequently, we created a product campaign – each artist was viewed as a separate product and thanks to this we minimized the number of feed items (which would be much higher for a real product feed, where the products would be individual paintings). At the same time, we were circumventing the technical imperfections of site search we would encounter with a typical group campaign.

When creating keywords, we used the Create keywords by tag combination function to combine author and last_name with individual prefixes.



Keywords are created using the formula “prefix + name”. In the role of the prefix are words like paintings, replicas or reproductions. Names are used in the form of “first name” as well as a surname. Thus, “Claude Monet” creates keywords such as:

  • “claude monet painting”
  • “claude monet paintings”,
  • “claude monet replicas”
  • “claude monet reproduction”
  • “reproduction claude monet”
  • etc.

For each artist, we have prepared a specific ad that looks like this:
